On the 1st January this year, the minimum wage was increased by 0.91%, with the second half of the year seeing an increase of 0.57% as of the 1st July 2013.

The minimum wage rates shown above are based on a standard working week. These are pro rata’d for part time workers. The standard working week varies between sectors and therefore the minimum wage per sector is calculated using the standard working week of that sector. For example, employees aged 20 years with a working week of 36 hours and a pay period of a week have a minimum hourly wage of €5.83.
